For functional fitness folks, the ability to quickly change weights between movements is crucial.
The safest systems I've used have both visual and tactile confirmation when locked – you should both see and feel the secure connection.
Yo, OP, this post is straight fire! I’m new to lifting, and the decline Smith Machine press is my new jam. Tried it at my USA gym on a NtaiFitness aeroEX-6062—so smooth!
Started with the bar (20 lbs) to lock in form: 15° decline, elbows tucked. My lower chest lit up—first time ever! Struggled with unracking smoothly, though.
Any hacks for that? Did 3 sets of 12, paired with incline dumbbell presses. Your elbow flare tip saved my shoulders!
This is staying in my 2025 USA chest workout.

Tia-Clair Toomey’s a bloody legend! Eight CrossFit Games titles and 45 event wins? She’s untouchable.
Her 2016 Olympics weightlifting (82 kg snatch!) and Commonwealth gold make her a hero Down Under.
I’m in Melbourne, grinding WODs with the Ntaifitness Tank Sled NT-10092—it’s a game-changer for sprint power.
