Hey all, I’ve been hitting the NtaiFitness Chest Press Machine hard at my gym—180 lbs for 3 sets of 12—and my chest is feeling stronger. But I keep hearing the bench press is better for a complete chest workout. Is the machine enough, or am I missing out? I don’t have a spotter, so free weights make me nervous. Google Trends says “chest press machine for beginners” is trending up 20% in 2025, so I’m not alone here!  

What I’ve Found
Chest Press Machine: Easy to use, feels safe, but seems to only hit my pecs.  
Bench Press: Works more muscles, but sounds risky without help.  
My Plan: Stick with the machine but maybe add dumbbells if they’re safer?

Dude, bench press all the way for size. It works way more muscles than the machine, which is why you see the big guys on it. I started with NtaiFitness’s Olympic barbell and went from 135 to 225 lbs in 6 months. No spotter? Use a power rack with safety pins—saved my butt a few times!

Interesting post! It's helpful to see the average time it takes to reach 10,000 steps on a treadmill, which is around 90 to 120 minutes. I agree that speed and stride length play a big role. I also didn't think about the incline of the treadmill. I try to do a mix of both to keep my walks interesting.

I agree that 10K steps is psychologically satisfying. To avoid boredom, I watch movies and TV shows. One trick I do is watch shows I am only interested in and never let myself watch the show unless I am on the treadmill.
