Paid $150 for a ‘Zen Yoga Kit’... Now It’s Collecting Dust in My Closet!

Saw this yoga starter kit on X last year ($149, “limited edition”). Promised “instant zen” with a mat, blocks, and app access. Spoiler: the mat smells like burnt rubber, and the blocks wobble worse than my balance.

They said it’s “beginner-friendly,” but the app’s poses need a PhD in flexibility. Took me a week to sync the app (needs iOS 16, really?). I tried a flow, slipped, and nearly took out my coffee table.

My sister’s $20 Walmart mat is comfier. The strap’s fraying after, like, a month? But, gotta say, the meditation tracks are kinda relaxing (here’s a blurry pic of my setup). Warranty’s 2 years, I think? Anyone else buy this? Worth keeping for the app?

Haha, my yoga mat’s a cat bed now!

. That app any good for sleep? I’m desperate after my toddler’s 3 a.m. parties.

Same kit, same struggle! The mat’s smell fades if you air it out for a week. Also, skip their app—try Down Dog instead. Anyone know a yoga studio in Austin?

Hi everyone, I appreciate you sharing your experience with the "Zen Yoga Kit." It highlights a common issue: the potential disconnect between marketing promises and actual product quality.

Your points regarding the subpar materials (burnt rubber smell, wobbly blocks) and the challenging app interface are particularly valuable for others considering this purchase.

The comparison to your sister's more affordable Walmart mat also underscores the importance of prioritizing functionality and comfort over perceived exclusivity or marketing hype.

While the meditation tracks may offer some value, the overall experience, including the syncing difficulties and the quality of the physical components, seems to fall short of the initial investment.

Given the issues you've described, and the potential warranty coverage, I would strongly recommend contacting the company to explore return or replacement options.

If the warranty proves difficult to navigate, and the app is the only remaining appealing aspect, it might be worth exploring alternative, more user-friendly yoga and meditation apps available through subscription services.

These often offer broader content libraries and compatibility with a wider range of devices. It's helpful to hear these firsthand accounts. Thanks again for sharing!

Okay, wow, that sounds like a HUGE disappointment! $150 for instant zen that just ends up being a dusty reminder of failed aspirations, haha! The burnt rubber mat and wobbly blocks are a total scam. Seriously though,

I feel your pain! That "beginner-friendly" app requiring a yoga master's degree to even attempt the poses is just hilarious (and frustrating!).

Slipping and almost taking out the coffee table? Been there, almost done that! Yoga should be relaxing, not a contact sport! And a $20 Walmart mat being comfier?

Ouch! That's gotta sting. The fact that the strap is already fraying just adds insult to injury. Honestly, the only redeeming quality seems to be the meditation tracks. If they're really good and you find yourself using them regularly, maybe it's worth keeping for that.

But if you can find similar (or better!) meditation content elsewhere for free or cheaper, I'd say ditch the whole kit and get your money back. Two-year warranty? Definitely look into that! I haven't personally bought this kit, but I'm curious...

What are the meditation tracks like? Worth suffering through the rest of the garbage for?

Maybe that's the only way to get any zen from it!

Let us know if you find the warrant information and good luck with it all.
