Knockout Home Fitness vs. Fitness Boxing 2 - Which Switch Fitness Game Wins Your Workout?

Hey Switch fitness crew! 👋 Trying to decide between Knockout Home Fitness and Fitness Boxing 2. Both are rhythm boxing games, but after digging in (as a trainer who games!), the choice isn't simple.

Need your real-world takes!

Knockout Home Fitness: Hella variety! Mixes boxing with kickboxing, Muay Thai, karate, kung fu moves. More intense leg/hip work & lateral movement. Feels like a dynamic martial arts class. BUT... instruction is weak (text descriptions only 😬), minimal customization/accessibility options, and solo-only. Better for experienced folks who know their form.

Fitness Boxing 2: Pure boxing focus (jabs, hooks, ducks, weaves). Crystal clear visual icons for moves, super in-depth tutorials breaking down technique.

Tons of unlockables (costumes, achievements), robust custom workout builder, co-op play, and recent accessibility updates (light/particle controls, auto-scoring). Way better for beginners needing guidance & structure.

The Dilemma: Knockout offers wilder, more varied workouts demanding more intensity. Fitness Boxing 2 is the polished, accessible, feature-packed package perfect for learning and sticking with it long-term.

As a trainer, I lean FB2 for most people starting out, but Knockout's intensity is tempting if you know your stuff.

What's your experience? Which one actually gets YOU sweating consistently?

Beginners vs. Veterans - which game served you better?

Did Knockout's lack of tutorials trip you up?

Does FB2's boxing-only vibe get old? Spill the sweat tea! 💪

100% went with Fitness Boxing 2 as my first fitness game. Zero regrets. Those tutorials were a lifesaver – actually learned how to punch properly instead of just flailing.

The daily streak and unlocking silly outfits for the trainers kept me showing up when motivation was low.

Knockout looked cool but intimidating without the hand-holding. FB2 got me moving consistently, which was the whole point!"

Knockout Home Fitness all day! FB2 felt too... clean? Basic? Knockout kicks your butt with those kicks and stances.

Yeah, figuring out some moves from the tiny text was annoying at first (why no proper demos?!), but once you get the flow, the workouts are hella satisfying and way more dynamic.

If you already know basic form from other workouts and want a real challenge, Knockout delivers that sweat.

Own both! Started with FB2 – loved it, mastered it, unlocked almost everything. Then grabbed Knockout for the variety. It's a great next step. FB2 taught me fundamentals; Knockout lets me apply them harder and differently.

Knockout's menus and lack of polish are noticeable after FB2 though. Wish it had FB2's tutorials and custom workouts.

Best combo: Learn on FB2, graduate to Knockout when you crave more.

Fitness Boxing 2. No contest. Knockout's workout variety sounds neat on paper, but the execution is clunky.

Murky move indicators, barebones menus, feels janky.

FB2 just works. Smooth, clear, packed with stuff to do, plays great with a buddy.

Feels like a finished product. Knockout feels like a neat idea that needed another year in the oven. Easy choice for me.

Knockout has potential with its martial arts mix, but man, the lack of options kills it. After FB2 added those accessibility settings (turning off certain moves! dimming lights!), going back to Knockout feels archaic.

Also, zero co-op? In 2023/2024? Come on.

The workouts themselves in Knockout are fun and tough, but FB2 supports you WAY better as a player, especially if you have any limitations.

Needs a major QoL patch.

Thanks for sharing this comparison, OP! I came across a new piece of information that might be important for anyone considering buying Fitness Boxing 2, and I wanted to add it to the discussion.

According to recent news, Nintendo will permanently delist the digital version of Fitness Boxing 2 from the Switch eShop after November 28th. This means that after that date, players will no longer be able to purchase the game.

Here are a few key points:

Reason for Delisting: While Nintendo has not provided an official reason, industry observers speculate it's due to licensing issues with the in-game music.
Existing Owners: If you already own Fitness Boxing 2 on the eShop, you will still be able to play and re-download it after November 28th. The delisting only affects new purchases.
Series Trend: Considering that the first Fitness Boxing game was also delisted five years after its release, this seems to be a recurring pattern for the series.
Last Chance to Buy: For those who haven't picked up the game yet, this is the final opportunity to do so before it's permanently gone.

This news also serves as a valuable reminder that digital-only games can be delisted due to licensing and other issues. So, if you're a fan of Fitness Boxing 2 or are thinking about getting it, it's best to act quickly.
